THE FEARSOME YILING PATRIARCH! DRIVING EVIL FROM YOUR DOOR WITH A GREATER EVIL!
LOVES MILD FOOD, CUTE PUPPIES, LONG WALKS IN THE BURIAL MOUNDS AND KILLING ALL YOUR LOVED ONES!
...ok well. it's an improvement over the Demon-Slaughtering Cave, but it's still pretty crude; he's patched the walls and shored up anything that needed shoring up but hasn't tried to do more aesthetic repairs yet. the stairwell still looks wrecked so probably the repairs have just been done on the ground floor? he's dragged in the mattress bed, a low table, a set of shelves and an oil lamp. the latter is unlit but the Blood Pool in the middle of the floor gives off some rusty light. there appear to be lilypads in the Blood Pool and some books and papers of the table and shelves and piled on the floor.]
[savors the feeling of feeling Wei Wuxian at his side for one more minute before gracefully rising to his feet; he'll offer Wei Wuxian a hand up if he looks likely to use it, too]
[oh '-' he does let his hand go again this time. sobriety sucks anyway.
he heads for the door and stands looking out for a minute when he opens it - while they've been inside, the landscape changed. his profile is illuminated by the reflected moonlight the way Wei Wuxian imagined earlier now.
he blinks a couple of snowflakes off his eyelashes and looks back over his shoulder at Wei Wuxian gravely.]
[it's peaceful enough; Wei Wuxian is always in a much better mood about snow when he's warm enough, and the alcohol he did drink has mellowed him out a little]
[oh he should have asked if Wei Wuxian wanted the rest of the Emperor's Smile with dinner... no, he would have brought it with him if he wanted it. the thought of him saving it is also kind of nice... :X
Lan Wangji walks along looking like an improbably embodied piece of a landscape painting and fiercely reviewing every recipe he's ever learned from the elder Lan Wangji in his head.]
[the whole thing - including not knowing whatever the hell he did when he got drunk - leaves Lan Wangji pleased and embarrassed and confused and annoyed and adrift, but not in an unpleasant way it's closer to how Wei Wuxian used to make him feel when they were kids, though less intense and heart-wrenching.]

finally, reluctantly lets him go :(]

I know you're concerned for me, Lan Zhan, but you don't actually have to keep hold at all times.

[not volunteering an opinion on that :X the "hm" is rather peaceful, though, actually; less embarrassed]

I'd offer you dinner, but it wouldn't be very good if I cooked here.

[Wei Wuxian's well aware his own villa isn't particularly furnished either, so he can decide.]
